In both cases, you will not be able to play games on PS4. However, there are workable fixes for this situation, and you can get rid of the errors that have occurred right now on your PS4

How to deal with this issue?

Protect your game progress

DiskInternals Partition Recovery can be of great help if you need to protect your gameplay.

Here you can not only set and use deep or shallow recovery mode, but also read inaccessible files. Thus, you can safely open any protected folder and get acquainted with its contents.

You can also lose database or data from PS4 disk as a result of other circumstances: system errors, virus attacks, bad sectors, etc. - and you can recover any corrupted information using deep scan mode. In addition, you can take advantage of the free emergency disk imaging feature even in the advertising version of the application.

Thoughtful to the smallest detail, the Recovery Wizard will show you all the available functions of the program and will help you save and export files if necessary.

Using the free version of the application is advisable if you do not need to save the found files, then this version will be sufficient. After completing your chosen scan, you will be able to see the results of search and data recovery for free. Then you decide whether to buy a license or opt for the free version of the application.

Keep in mind that if you purchase a licensed version of the application, you will have the opportunity to use the application forever and enjoy technical support for a year after purchasing the license.

So, download DiskInternals Partition Recovery and run the trial or licensed version of the application on your Windows device. Next, the Disk Recovery Wizard will start automatically and ask you to select a disk or partition, then select the recovery mode: read, quick recovery (Uneraser) or full recovery (recommended when recovering long-lost data).

After scanning, you will have access to a preview, right-click on the file and select the function of previewing the recovered files (free). Finally, go to your DiskInternals Partition Recovery license, choose a new location to save the recovered files, and follow the instructions of the built-in export wizard to complete the recovery process that has begun.

1. Corrupted database

A PS4 database is essential for the organized collection of data related to your device. If your database is corrupted, you will notice the following symptoms:

  • PS4 automatically reboots.
  • The game takes longer to load than usual.
  • The PS4 won't read the disc.
  • The game process stutters, slows down.

This situation can arise due to the following factors:

  • Virus attack.
  • Damage to the media.
  • Voltage drops.

To fix the damaged PS4 database, you will need to restore it. This can be done in Safe Mode:

1. First, turn off the console and hold the power button on the console until you hear two beeps, then your PS4 will boot into Safe Mode.

2. Next, connect your PS4 controller to your console using a USB cable and select "Restore Database". Wait for the process to complete.

If your database has been corrupted due to a hardware failure, you will have to fix the damaged hard drive or and initialize the PS4. That being said, you should be aware that initialization will restore the system defaults and delete all data in the system storage.

2. Corrupted data

If you suspect that the data on your PS4 is corrupted, you should notice the following symptoms:
